INTRODUCTION

Who should attend:                           Anyone new to Access

 

Suggested Background:                    Basic Windows skills

 

If you need to keep track of and organize information, this is the course for you.  First you will learn to enter and modify data, and then create a simple database.  You will create and use queries to extract information from your database based on your conditions.  You will design reports to present your data as a printed document.

 

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

 

Work with Tables

Understand database relationships

            Identify screen elements and move around efficiently

            Add, delete, change, and view records

            Find records and replace data

                        Plan, create, and modify tables and a database

 

            Work with Queries

                        Understand queries and criteria

                        Create and modify select queries

                        Control the appearance of the query results

                        Define and use simple, complex, and compound criteria

                        Create a multi-table query

                        Save and use named queries

 

            Work with Reports

                        Understand report sections

                        Create and format controls

                        Add and remove fields, controls and sections

                        Understand bound & unbound objects

                        Create calculated fields

                        Base a report on the results of a query

                        Save report formats
